It borders the follow Minicipalities: Sliven to the east, Nova Zagora to the south, Gourkovo to the west and Elena to the north. The geografhical location of the Tvarditsa Minicipality together with the sub-Balkan transport corridor a? a railway and a highway Sofia- Karlovo-Bourgas, which passes through the Minicipality, favours the developement of the transport and economic connections not only with the neighboring Minicipalities, but also with the districts all over Bulgaria.
