Europeans, Arabs and Africans are buying houses in the resort village of Gesha View, located between Veliko Tarnovo and Dryanovo. English, Dutch, Italian and South African citizens have bought around 100 new houses in the heart of the country, said Julian Georgiev, an associate at the Bulgarian-British enterprise Simply Bulgaria OOD, the investor in the project.

Arabs are showing keen interest too. There have been inquiries from Bahrain. The project, which won the prestigious Bentley International Property Award, had an initial value of EUR 4.5 million. Due to heightened interest the investment increased to 10 million. According to investors 30% of the houses were sold to Brits. The resort features 2- and 3-bedroom apartments, houses and luxury villas blending traditional Bulgarian architecture and modern design, complete with breathtaking views.

Owners and guests in the resort can partake in a variety of recreational activities including hunting, fishing, riding, mountain biking, cave exploring and mountain climbing, paragliding, traditional arts and crafts. Representatives of Simply Bulgaria expect over 10% returns on the investment.
