Property investment company Bulgarian Land Development (BLD) said it has bought for 21 mln euro five of the eight buildings comprising the Dimitar Blagoev printing house compound in Sofia. BLD has slated 30 mln euro to redevelop the acquired property into a mixed-use office and retail scheme by 2010.

The deal mark`s BLD`s first foray into non-residential property development. The company portfolio currently features vacation villages and housing estates in Sofia and local sea and ski resorts. The acquisition is in line with the company strategy to diversify its portfolio with office and business properties, said BLD.
