Mortgaged flats whose owners are feeling the pinch are now the juiciest offers available on the Bulgarian real estate market, credit consultancy Credit Center said in their March analysis, The Dnevnik daily reads today. The share of mortgaged properties bought by new mortgages has increased to 8% from the total number of deals struck in the month. Cash-starved homeowners agree to lucrative discounts to the buyer’s benefit, the consultants explained.

As cited by The Klasa daily, some banks like DSK Bank and UniCredit Bulbank have started publishing information on public sales of real estates in their websites.

First Investment Bank is among the few banks that are not yet offering this service but actively renegotiating loans with their clients.

EIBank and ProCredit Bank improved their requirements for loans in BGN.

Two banks have risen interest rates – SG Expressbank and Municipal Bank. Interest rates on consumer loans keep going up.
