Construction of the resort, which will consist of 30 5-floor villas, began in Kranevo (near Albena) last week, said Alexey Kirianov, chairman of the directors’ board of the investor Old Tower. Marina Bay will have an area of 28 acres. The total built-up area of the resort will be 30 000 sq. m. The resort will feature 452 studios, one and two-bedroom apartments and luxury suites. All will boast seaside views.

There will also be scenic gardens, recreation areas and five swimming pools with adjoining pools for children. At the entrance to the resort there will be two connected office towers, the last floor of which will have a bar. The total investment is EUR 25-30 million, said Kirianov. The resort will be completed in 2011. The architecture is typical of exclusive resorts in Southern Spain. Renowned Spanish architect Miguel Tobal was especially invited for the implementation of the project with his studio, Baldridge Tobal Architects, in partnership with the Bulgarian PS Design.
