There is an increase in construction and demand of lodgings in the outskirt regions of the big cities in Bulgaria in 2007, says data of the annual report of property agency ‘Foros` quoted by investor.bg. According to brokers among the reasons for this is the inability of the supply to respond to the growing demand, directed mostly towards the central citizen areas.

In Sofia the new outskirt regions, attractive to many people are situated round the future trace of the underground and mostly in Mladost 4 residential district due its close location to Business Park Sofia.

In the last year the most demanded remain the two-room apartments, which makes almost 53% from the whole property demand and 40,5% from the real estate demand in Bulgaria.

The average price increase of lodgings in the country last year is 30%. The biggest increase was marked in Sofia (54%) followed by Varna city (39%), Ruse (31%), Plovdiv (29,5%), Veliko Turnovo (22,5%) and Burgas (22,5%).

The rent market also marks rising movement in 2007. The biggest is noticed in Varna luxury lodgings - 22%.
