Karlovo and Plovdiv may increase some of their local taxes. Both city councils are going to make a decision today (31.01.2008). Karlovo municipal councilors will discuss a 65% increase of inhabited house duty. Another possible increase will be considered on duty on vehicles. The municipal councilors will also think about the creation of Anticorruption Commission. Plovdiv City Council probably will not increase taxes for this year, but the chairman Jordan Kiumiurgiev said that a proposal for higher inhabited house duty and duty on vehicles  will be discussed.
