The actual price of housing in Sofia is ˆ530 - 600 per sq m, said Sofia`s Chief Architect Petar Dikov at the real estate conference BalREC. According to him, before the crisis, construction companies` profits were between 100% and 150% of the purchase price of the property which is unacceptable and 2010 will be a crucial year for the sector.

"It will become clear next year whether this market will collapse or make a profit," added Dikov. He called for companies in the sector to show tolerance and mutual respect. "If anyone has any illusions that they will survive on their own, they are wrong. We need to talk frankly, to listen to each other," he added....
