Boinitsa, Vidin

The Municipality of Boinitsa is located in the northwestern-most part of Bulgaria in Vidin district. The municipal center village of Boynitsa is situated 35 km away from the district center, Vidin. Three rivers cross the municipality: the Boinishka, the Rabrovska and the Topolovska. Transport services in the municipality of Boinitsa are provided only by road.
Landmarks such as the only waterfall in the north-west of Bulgaria located in the area of Boinitsa, the Cave Monastery on the road to the village of Rabrovo, the remains of the Petsino Kale Roman Fortress in Boinitsa, etc. could attract the attention of tourists. The good natural and climatic conditions, the clean environment and the hospitable population are a good prerequisite to the development of rural tourism. The municipality has four churches /in the villages of Boinitsa, Rabrovo, Shishentsi and Borilovets/.
