Orlova Cuka is the second cave by length in Bulgaria (has about 15 kilometers of tunnels at 7 levels). The entrance opens to the romantic valey of the Cherni Lom river, 40m above the river. It was formed by ground water around the Pliocene/Quarternary boundary, when the valley floor was 40m higher at the level of the cave.

The cave contains several archaeologic remains. The upper cave sediments contained remains of the Thracians, which lived here during Bronze Age and the time of the Romans. Older layers brought paleolithic finds like arrowheads of flint and boenes of cave bear and deer.
