Bulgarian Motorcycle Federation (BMF) has created 26 October 1991 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Through years federation gather membership and organize contests of balkan, european and world scale.

Balkan Motorcycle Union (BMU)
BMU is founded in Sofia on 20.12.2000. Originator of its establishment is Bulgarian Motorcycle Federation.
Founders of BMU are National Federations of Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Macedonia (FYROM) and Yugoslavia. Honour guests of the foundations were Mr. Francesco Zerbi - FIM President and Mr. Vincenzo Mazzi - Secretary general of UEM.
As a President of BMU with absolute majority was elected Mr. Bogdan Nikolov. As a Vice-President was elected Mr. Nikos Damoulakis.
Balkan Motocross and Road racing championship was renewed in 1997, already before foundation of BMU.
On the 2001 UEM Congress in Budapest BMU was accepted as a member of UEM.

Licenced Motopoligons in Bulgaria
For Motocross races BMF use Licensed circuits only, which gives the opportunity to organise competitions in accordance with FIM and UEM.
