Football Club Botev Vratsa
Nikola Kunov, Ivan Abuzov, Nako Paunov, Gergo Boytchev - this is a part of group young people, who give the begining of football club Botev Vratsa. The year is 1921 and the place is playground near the "Old market-place" in Vratsa.
In period 1921 - 1956 there are a lot of sport clubs founded in the town. 1957 some of these clubs are fusioned in new one - FC Botev Vratsa.
7 years from its foundation Botev Vratsa is a member of second bulgarian football league ("B" group). In 1963 FC Botev Vratsa enters in the elite bulgarian football group ("A" group) and did not leave it 26 years. For the period 1964 - 1990 the club have 788 plays and 269 wins.
The biggest success of FC Botev Vratsa is in championship 1970 - 71 - 3th place (bronze medals).
