"Mechkata" (The bear) is situated approx 12k from the famous Borovets ski resort, and approx 45 minutes drive away from the capital of Bulgaria Sofia. During the summer the Borovets has trips to the seven lakes which is a very popular tourist site, also pony trekking up the mountains, info on these activities can be obtained on request. The location is in a very remote area, so the hire of a car would be useful, info on car hire can also be obtain on request, but there is also a very good bus service into the nearest town, Samokov, Borovets, and the capital Sofia.
