Tutrakan

The town of Toutrakan is adminictrative center of Municipality Toutrakan. It is 432 km away of the mouth of the Danube. The town lies 58 km east of Rousse, 62 km west of Silistra and 74 km north of Razgrad.
The altitude of Tutrakan is 13 m near the riverside but at the plateau (the flat part of the town) which is 500 m away of the river it reaches 126 m.
The Danube river and the wealth of cultural and historical attractions turn Toutrakan into an attractive and tourist centre. The town have direct bus connections to Sofia, Rousse, Silistra, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Pleven, Koubrat.
